The Casuarinas is by far the worst hotel Ive ever been to. It nearly ruined my vacation. Be aware that they have no problems with false advertisement as we were promised many things before we got there that were non-existent. I paid extra for an ocean view but I soon realized that there was no view of the ocean from any point in the hotel. There was supposed to be two pools, but upon arrival we realized that there was only one very small, dirty with chipped pain, poor excuse for a pool. The room was dirty, i.e. lipstick stains on the pillow, the toilet couldnt flush and although I specifically requested to be in a room with a fridge and microwave I was told that I would get them only if they were able to find one somewhere, maybe tomorrow, or the day after that. At night, cabs stop going there and so my friends and I literally had to trick another hotel into sending us a cab by saying we were stranded at the Casuarinas. The staff, when available, was very nonchalant about our various grievances. After one night, thinking that everywhere else was booked, we considered cutting our trip short and leaving the Bahamas. Luckily, there was a cancellation at another hotel and we promptly, that is after waiting for the lady at the front desk who was nowhere to be found, left. It is definitely not worth the money, if you plan in advance you can stay somewhere nicer for cheaper, if you wait last minute, youd be better off paying extra for a decent place. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone unless everywhere else is booked, and even then I'd rather just go to another country.
