I would never return to the Ocean Reef. It was run down, crumbling and dirty. When we arrived there was sand on the comforters and sheets of both of the beds in the unit we stayed in. The sheets were threadbare and dirty. The comforters and blankets had cigarette burns and hair on them. There were no pillowcases on one of the bedrooms pillows. All the furniture looked like early 80's salvation army rejects. The carpet was ragged, filthy and stained. The bathrooms had rusted and leaking fixtures. The window blinds were filthy and broken. It was the worst vacation I have ever had. The place needs a total overhaul. It was truly disappointing and a waste of a vacation.

The rooms were clean - nothing fancy, but do not go to the restaurant unless you want to wait 2 or more hours for your food. The staff was slow, discourteous and the hotel manager was the WORSt person to our family. I was appalled, disappointed and it ruined our trip. I would not go back there at all based on the way we were treated. Not kid friendly.

Two bedroom suite with two baths was great. Service was great, especially very good prices at on site restaurant. "Monday Night Madness" was like a free beach party without the beach. Good food, lots of fun. Very quiet location and they have transportation to many places and activities, but rental car helps. 1 mile to nearest beach.

I had a really great time at the Ocean Reef Resort and Marina. It provided us with everything advertised. The people and the place was pleasant and they seem to have our best at heart. The place was clean and well kept. It was secluded from other island attractions so if you were there to just rest and relax...then that was the place. The accomdations were comfortable. There were activities scheduled for every day...but I am not big on timed activities. They have trips to the beach and grocery store daily. they also had internet service available. Laundry facilities, on site small store, and a resturant and bar that was reasonable. The office staff helped in anyway possible. The on site taxi was available upon request. It was a very quite and calm place. The Marina part was very active. But it wasn't a problem. the hotel guest and the marina guest just merged. All got along. There is a full kitchen (icemaker) and grill in the back yard. So you can cook and enjoy what ever meals you would like or use the on site resturant...that was reasonable and good. Just wanted to share my new found knowledge. The place was nice and I enjoyed my stay. The staff and management were flexible and they did all they could to help make our stay a good one. Mositqoes are there take spray..........hahaha but we went prepared.
