Spend time at Nelson's Dockyard We went on an organised trip around the island by an outside agency. It was interesting with a knowkedgeable guide etc but we only spent a brief time at Nelson's Dockyard (which was fascinating) and English Harbour and then were taken to a beach for 50 minutes which was very ordinary and all the people on the tour were staying at beach-side hotels!! I suggest you hire a car or take a bus and spend at least half a day in the south of the island.

Safe and friendly Taxis will take you from the hotel to your destination they usally are the drivers for that hotel and are very safe. they will pick you up at the time you want or you can take there mobile number. It works out cheaper to keep the same driver and you dont need to pay them until you are returned to the hotel.
