How to pick a tailor We used many tailors and show makers whilst in Hoi An and believe that we did a few things right. Firstly do not get alot made in the one shop in one go. Get one or two things and then if they are good, get more made by the same tailor. Also only pay a deposit up front that way if the clothes are not what you expected you can walk away with some money in hand. Another tip is to only get them to make something they have on display in their shop. They find this the easiest and the results are usually alot better. The shipping place along the river is a great place to get things sent home and its relatively inexpensive.
