Crossing the street To corss the street simply step out in to the throng of oncoming traffic. They will avoid hitting you. If you wait for a gap int he traffic before you cross you will grow old and moldy! Never turn back, just keep on walking straight ahead.

Pedestrian Caution Motorbikes rule in Ho Chi Minh City and there is virtually no regulation of traffic. You take your life in your hands every time you cross the street. We learned to anticpate the rhythm of the traffic and cross only when no cars were coming. The motorbikes would at least anticipate your moves if you kept moving and didn't panic!
