Write it down Most taxi drivers in HCMC are willing but the language is a real barrier - write down where you want to go (or get yout hotel to do so) and show it to the taxi driver - do not let then leave your hotel until you are convinced they know where they are going (they wil often just drive off without a clue...) also always remeber to take your hotel address with you to do the same getting back...

Skip Ho Chi Minh! If you get to Ho Chi Minh, skip the city and take a bus to the beach resort town of Mui Ne. You'll thank me later.
