Its quite impressive. i was amazed with the motorcylcles and bicycles that flood the streets... so be careful when crossing the street. the tip is, just walk through when crossing and dont stop in the middle, else you'd confuse the cyclers. I loved the spacious parks around HCMC.. and the quaint cafes and eateries around ala paris. When shopping, i find their lacquer products very interesting specially the picture paintings made of lacquer... only in Vietnam had i seen that kind of product. and the charming Vietnamese wearing Au dai... they're just lovely. In 2 years time, i can see Vietnam to be more popular and more urbanize.

Taxis no driving The taxis are not expensive. They are very reasonable. I would never drive or rent a car in the city.

Don't miss it! This city isn't as popular with tourists as Hanoi, but it has some serious charm. You just have to look a little harder!
