Location was great, especially they provide us the free pick up from airport with 03 nights booking. The location is also good, quite and convenient for me. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the facilities are exactly what you would expect for such a hotel. Our stay was very enjoyable and we will come again.

Sunrise hotel Hanoi is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The hotel drips with style and is beautifully decorated with attention to detail.The food here is exceptional, whilst expensive it is very good value.Moreover i felt like stay at my home during i staying and talking with the staffs in hotel. i hope i can live in Vietnam in one day. First class service with a willingness to help - very warm and friendly staff .And i love to visit the main Lake here, it takes 3 minutes from hotel to the Lake and very close to shopping center as well. would recommend

My Wife and I traveled to Vietnam since December on 2008. This time left so good memories while we staying in Vietnam. Everything.. the staff is warm and friendly and truly was out home away from home in Hanoi. Very attentive, knowledgeable, efficient and just the most helpful staff we have ever dealt with... They helped us to solve with Taxi driver as well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The hotel has a lot of charm and the rooms are spacious and very clean and the hotel is in a good location to the lake. I would definitely recommend this hotel

We just stayed one night at Sunrisehotel but it was a nice stay. Rooms are comfortable, good location, helpful staffs.Highly recommended!

The rooms are spacious, the staff is most obliging, the entertainment is great and the food is to die for. Breakfast was excellent and for FREE. Highly recommend!

What a great hotel. We have stayed in several Hanoi Hotels but this is the best yet. On arrival found reception staff very pleasant. Had room 201 view of the city very nice. The hotel cannot be faulted, Spotlessly clean, food in the breakfasts always excellent.
The rooms are spacious, the staff are most obliging, the entertainment is great and the food is to die for.

We are Vietnamese honeymooners. We found this hotel thru my friend's recommendation. Sunrise hotel gave us a deluxe room with large balcony, big window and bath tub. They also offered us a bouquet of roses upon arrival. Hotel members are extremely friendly and helful. We had a wonderful stay with them. Highly recommended!

Top Local Tips for Hanoi

Shopping For shopping (mainly women) go to the big church and walk around there for loads of good shops and restaurants. For tours and food and general info go to Kangarro cafe. I don't normally like these themed places but they were really awesome and i would advise anyone to go there.

Caution Unecessary to reserve in advance, though no cancellation policies exist in most hotels, managers will demand payment even if they do not provide what has been promised or advertised. Additionally and generally, reservations mean nothing. Most hotels will give up rooms to the first customer who requests it, reservation or not. Your best bet is to choose a few hotels and go to each one to check availability. Lastly, do not feel that you cannot bargain a room rate. We found that depending on nationality, appearance and availability, room rates will vary. One final note on taxis, use of dollars and getting change back. Most taxi drivers will try to negotiate a fixed priced in USD for a trip. However, unless traveling far, using the meter will usually get you the better deal - unless they decide to take a long, circuitous route (which happened several times). If you use USD to pay for items, you lose out on correct change. If you do no not have small bills, you lose change.

Crazy taxi Be careful when calling the taxi, it is better to ask the hotel calling for you. Local taxi drivers can not speak English and always charge you much more by taking you around.
