ABSOLUTELY PERFECTfrom karen_brad
Great improvementfrom CamEvans
Rooms are very stylish and comfortable.
Some of the best room service food I've had anywhere.
All other food etc was great as well.
Look forward to next visit.
We hope to welcome you back again to the hotel in the near future.
What a beautiful place!from manuhk
The rooms are beautiful down to the lovely little details - including the most comfortable beds.
Check in was warm and welcoming, so was the check out.
Breakfast was very good and plentiful.
All in all I truly enjoyed my very short stay there.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the not too distant future.
Lovely - Meet My Expectation in Every Wayfrom GreatGTraveller
There are a number of eatery places around the hotel and you could basically walk to Old Quarter, which is about 10-15 minutes away. Alternatively, taxis and cyclos are easily available.
Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone! You won't regret it.
We hope we will have an opportunity to welcome you back again in the near future and I am certainly available for any assistance I can extend at any time.
Thanks again and best regards,
This hotel is perfect location, quite, very nice and beautiful.
This is a very great place to stay to line down and enjoy all the facilities.
Restaurant is amazing.
Service is a bit less than you expect in a 5 stars hotel.
I noticed that you were not entirely satisfied with the service you received and while this is of course regrettable, I appreciate you bringing it to our attention in order to further improve on this.
Thanks you for taking the time to share your experience in our hotel.
“An island in the Hanoi chaos”.from Arrigo
Details is the right word for this hotel: the flowers beauty and the perfume when you get in, the attention on the front desk, the restaurant table ware, the room cleaning people…..
“An island in the Hanoi chaos”.
The room, with a fruit basket as a welcome gift, when we arrived, is well design, modern, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom perfect, the right size, the shower superb, a water fall from the top, and the cleaning lady washed it everyday we shower.
Breakfast is very good, a nice combination of east and west. Excellent pastries, juices, fruits, omelets and waffles and an exceptional noodles soup and fried rice.
Hanoi is very dusty and what we noticed on the hotel is that the management keeps it outside.
Another pro of this hotel is that it is on a walking distance from Hoan Kien Lake and the Old Quarter. Enjoy it.
It is always rewarding to see that out attention to details is recognized and it gives us the confirmation that this is appreciated by our customers.
We hope you will have an opportunity to stay with us again in the near future and we look forward to welcoming you again.
On behalf of the entire team here at Moevenpick Hotel Hanoi,- thank you very much!
A home away from home - excellent personal servicefrom sbtbb
The room is newly renovated, stylish & very clean. The captain Mr Kiefer is certainly running a tight ship. I hope the hotel will stay this way. Great value for money. Highly recommended. I've stayed at many hotels in both HN & HCM city, and this one is certainly my favourite.
I very much appreciate you taking the time to write about us and we hope to see you back in the hotel again soon.

Luxury boutique hotel not far from Hoan Kiem Lakefrom KeKouKeLe
The standard room I stayed in was luxurious, albeit a bit small. When ready, the hotel which is located approx. 5 mins by taxi from Hoan Kiem lake and central Hanoi, should be a great place to stay for discerning travellers. Right now however entire floors are not ready, and neither is the gym nor the restaurant. There is also constant drilling and construction noise throughout the day (the rooms don't appear to be soundproofed, as early morning Hanoi traffic and incessant honking woke me up each day). The staff were pleasant though and tried really hard to make up for the hotel's current shortcomings, although I ended up checking out after 2 nights and moving to the year-old InterContinental Westlake.
If you do stay at the Movenpick, be sure to check our the Quan An Ngon restauarant about a block from the hotel. It is a well-known Vietnamese restaurant, nicely packaged and offers all kinds of regional Vietnamese food in a great outdoors setting.

Pleasant staff, nice rooms, but very noisy!from bradleyart
Now the bad... The hotel is being upgraded to a 5 star hotel, and so there is constant drilling and hammering underway all day long. If you are out doing business or shopping, perhaps this won't be such an issue. But be warned, there is also some major construction underway behind the hotel (think jackhammers, crane, and lots of men yelling). Unfortunately, they seem to only work at night. So just about the time the hotel construction stops, the street construction starts up! Last night I had ear plugs in, and a pillow over my head, and it was still painfully annoying. A credit to the staff however, when I complained about the noise, they kindly moved me to the other end of the hotel which is a bit further from the outside construction site. Still not quiet, but better.
This hotel is a gem in the making... not quite there yet. There are not many people staying here, which makes it easy to get a room. Like I said, you won't be disappointed with the room cleanliness or quality or the friendly staff. I stayed at both this hotel and the Sofitel Metropole, and certainly the Metropole is a nicer experience (at a higher price). But don't take that the wrong way... in a couple months when construction is finished, this place will really be a great hotel.
Top Local Tips for Hanoi
Taxis in Hanoi Stick with Ma Linh Taxis or Hanoi taxis, who are less likely to literally take you for a ride. Even then, state that you want them to go "by Metre" when you board, as some of the drivers will still try to negotiate a flat US$ rate that of course would be higher than wha the metered fare would be.
