Serenity Hotel is the best hotel we've ever stayed. I and my wife have travelled to 17 countries all over the world but never stayed in a hotel as good as Serenity. The room is gracious with a big window for Old Quarter views. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They will take care of you as family member. We did have very great time here and booked both tour to Halong and Sapa with them. Wow, it's really incredible. To whom is going to Halong bay, we highly recommend Hanoi Opera Cruise.Just need to send email to Serenity Hotel, they will arrange everything for you. Enjoy!

It was great days staying at Serenity Hotel. The room is cleaned and gracious. Hotel is well located in the center of Hanoi. There are huge of shops around the hotel. You can easily find anything you need there. Staff here is super friendly and helpful. They always try your best to meet your requires. I booked tour to Sapa and Halong bay with them. And both tours is wonderful with reasonable price. Highly recommend Serenity Hotel to other travelers.

Cheating hotel in Hanoi, crazy price

got surprised after entering the hotel. It was so narrow and the reception area looked like a dog case, badly smelt and dirty. Rooms were so small and the staff were so rude... Keep far away from this hotel as far as possible. Highly recommend the Hanoi Lucky Hotel in Tho Xuong Street. Their price is so cheaper but the quality is much much more higher.

Super friendly hotel in a convenient location. The front desk person was especially warm and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and attractive. The service is great. Halong bay and Sapa tour booked with hotel were fantastic and well-organized. It's a wonderful hotel that I would visit again in a second!

Wonderful hotel!

The room was lovely and the bed was very comfy. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Location is great because it's in the center of Hanoi and very close walking distance to the attractions Hoan Kiem Lake, Old Quarter streets, Water Puppet Theater. Definitely stay again.

Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is well located for getting around the city. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate, albeit small, but very functional for two of us. It's the best hotel that we stayed in Vietnam.

Serene Experience

We called this hotel in the last minutes due to recommendation of a friend. The new Serenity is everything its name promises. We liked the location (quiet!), the rooms (very nice style), the views (windows are huge!), amenities (loved our room's computer), and the overall atmosphere (very professional). All our requests were taken care of with a smile. As for tours, prices seemed comparable or better than rates advertised on the net and each trip (Sapa, Perfume Pagoda, and Halong bay) were all as promised and are highly recommended. Sapa was cold, so travelers should bring a jacket! We give this hotel a high recommendation.

Brand-new and lovely hotel

We stayed in this hotel when it's just been opened for 5 days. So, everything is very clean, new and fresh. We were really satisfied with our room - a deluxe double one with city view. From the window, you can see very traditional Old Quarter streets in Hanoi, crowded and busy roads of motorbike and shops. We really love the staff that are very friendly, helpful, and hospital. Mr. Son arranged us incredible tour of Halong bay and Sapa. We will miss them so much.

Superb friendly staff , clean rooms a wonderful place

This is a new fresh renovated hotel, good value with very clean rooms and most of all wonderful staff. I stayed in Hanoi for 2 months (gaining work experience and sightseeing) at this hotel and I could not have been luckier. Very affordabe, clean and comfortable. Close to town and the lake, but set back just off the road so it is quiet as you are ever going to get in Hanoi. I cant really say a bad word about the place.
A good standard breakfast included with free tea, coffee and cordial all day. I cannot recommend it highly enough as I was there for long enough to see any faults, which were none.

Best hotel in Hanoi

I stayed in Serenity Hotel Hanoi for 2 weeks in January 2009. I was travelling with friends. We moved from another hotel around the corner which was dirty with dishonest staff etc. Was wonderful to find Serenity hotel which was very clean and with trustworthy honest staff. The hotel staff were like a second family. We went out to karaoke and shared a meal one night with them, which was great fun. They even helped us learn some Vietnamese. They gave us a great price for the rooms as we were staying for a long period of time.
The facilities at this hotel are great. They provide free tea and coffee making facilities 24 hours a day. They provide free breakfast with fresh orange juice and hot food which is cooked on demand (I recommend the banana pancakes). They also have 2 computers for internet access and printing (free of course).
The location of the hotel is also wonderful with a street market just outside the front door and walking distance to Hoan Kiem lake and the many streets full of shopping opportunities. Also an ANZ ATM and mini supermarket (with 5 litre water bottles) just around the corner. Being on a quieter road, it is less noisy than the other hotels I have been in.
The rooms were also great with thick white doonas, fluffy white towels including foot towel, TV with pay TV channels and airconditioning, a cupboard with hanging space, desk and stool. The bathroom is cramped but adequate, in working order with a big shower head. As the other reviews have pointed out, the hot water does not last very long but is enough to have an adequate steaming hot shower. Laundry services and tour booking services are available at a reasonable price.
There is a 24 hour reception so that they are able to let you in at any hour of the night such as when arriving back at 5.30am from Sapa on the train.
I have recommended this hotel to my family and friends and will stay here again when I visit Hanoi in the future.

Very much at home

My wife, sister, brother-in-law and I stayed at this hotel from January 25 to31, 2009. We really enjoyed our stay during this period as we felt very much at home with the excellent services provided by the all the staff in this hotel. They were very helpful and accommodating, and as far I can remember, they had not turned down any of our requests.

The rooms were big and clean with wide windows that allowed us to have a good view of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Staying in this hotel, we were never out of ideas where to go as in the vicinity, there were many shops and restaurants for us to patronize. The very centralized location of this hotel made it easy and convenient for us to stroll along the many old but fascinating streets in the Old Quarter.

For US$24.00 a night, and with the comfortable double twin room, free flow of coffee, daily breakfast, convenient location and excellent staff services, we simply can't ask for more.

For anyone visiting Hanoi, We will not hesitate to recommend them this hotel.

Great staff

We stayed here for 1 night (jan16) after seeing the reviews on TA., and looking at their website. The hotel had only been opened for 2 & half months, which meant everything worked (hot water only lasts a short whiles, but reheats quickly - think this is more a Hanoi thing, as the other hotels we stayed in Hanoi were the same). There is no lift (not a problem as the staff carry your bags up to the room) - however the staff are fantastic. A family run hotel, they even included a pickup from the airport included in the price.

Great place to stay

I and 4 of my friends stayed at the serenity hotel for about 2 and a half weeks.

We had moved from a different hotel and it was such a relief to come back after a hectic day in the city to a comfortable, clean place and not have to worry about security or being cheated.
We (3 girls) stayed in a large penthouse overlooking the city.

It was good value for the service and cleanliness.

The free breakfast in the morning was convenient, and having wireless was great. The only problems were the temperamental hot water system and slight communication issues.

The staff were really nice and hospitable, and made an effort to help us and make us feel at home. We even had a cooking lesson and a meal with the staff (Son, Tui, Zuong, Chung).

I would recommend it as a place to stay in Hanoi.

Serenity Hotel give excellent value for money

We stayed 4 nights at Serenity Hotel and were impressed with the spotlessly clean rooms. Mr Son and his hardworking team were eager to please. They treat you like guests in their house. Breakfast is cooked to order - omelette and baguette that is toasted before serving. They will cook you noodle soup if you wish.

The hotel location is excellent too. Hoan Kiem Lake is just a short walk away, and there is plenty to explore in the streets around the hotel.

There is no lift in the hotel, so rooms on the higher floors are suitable for the younger travellers.

At time of writing, the hotel is ranked #84/301. They are well-positioned to become one of the better small hotels in Hanoi.

Great Hotel

Me and a mate stayed here over Christmas for 4 days. I was really impressed. Our room was always clean and tidy, and the lobby area has a hostel atmosphere, even if this is very definately a hotel. Free breakfast was nice, as was free internet access. Location wonderful, loads of stuff a few minutes walk away (sights, money-changing, shops) and tours can be arranged via hotel too.

Id recommend this place for anyone who is visiting Vietnam or Hanoi for the first time, everyone was really friendly and the price was good too.

New hotel hits the mark

Friends in Hanoi were full up with visitors, so I opted for a hotel stay this time around. A friend recommended this place as new with a good location and a reputable manager. Fresh décor and very clean and neat. My room had enormous windows and a really comfortable bed for only 25 bucks a night. I was especially impressed with the knowledgeable and highly trained staff. They have a good thing going here and I am happy to give them my highest recommendation.

Very nice establishment and well-run. Some hectic moments in the mornings when other guests were leaving for tours, but most of the staff knew how to handle last minute snafus with grace and efficiency. Had a comfortable and spacious deluxe room on 2nd floor for 30usd and could not have been more pleased. Good work!

A nice and clean home in Hanoi

Very nice and new hotel in Hanoi old city, everything is new and
clean. was impressed by the reception, there are tea and coffee
free for whole day long, you can have a cup ot tea or coffer anytime you go out for fun or back to hotel,just like at home.
Free breakfast is good ,even have Vietnam Rice noodle with
chicken and fresh friut.
