Top Local Tips for Phuket

Family Activities a few things you need to do and see here if you are travelling with kids.... Phuket Fantasea, ATV tours (a proper one, not one on a track - I booked with the Ramada, they recommended it and it really was the highlight of our trip - my kids will be talking about it for a long time)

There is a new Taxi Meter service at Phuket Airport Pass the expensive limo service and go outside the terminal, turn right. you will find the Taxi Meter counter. its half the price of the inside guys.

Phuket Fantasea Everyone you meet tells you how beautiful it is and that you must go there. It is really big, glitzy and very touristy in a Disneyland way WITHOUT the rides and you really have to admire the way that they try to get money out of you literally at every turn.The show is quite good for kids but rather disjointed (I fell asleep but to be fair it was after a tiring day of golf) You don't have to go there as early as they state "to enjoy the attractions" before the show. The only attractions are the grand glitzy buildings and endless rows of souvenir stores. The buffet is in a really grand hall but the food is quite pathetic.If you MUST, just go for the show, by taxi and not their transport which picks you up at 5pm for the show at 9pm. With that long to wait, you will usually succumb to the souvenir stands.
