Lovely Hotel Overlooking Ocean

Booked through Asia rooms and everything went smoothly. The hotel was lovely, we were allocated a beautiful suite on the 3rd floor. The bed was 6ft wide and extremely comfy. The bathroom was huge with a separate shower, fresh towels left every day. Very spacious balcony to sit out and admire the view, whilst drinking the complimentary tea or coffee you can make for yourself. The swimming pools were very nice with ample sunloungers for this time of year, not so sure had it been peak season though. The pools were cleaned on a regular basis also. The hotel staff were all very pleasant, especially the dining room at breakfast time. The breakfast was extremely good, with a tremendous choice suiting all nationalities. The one thing that was a bit of an inconvenience was that when the bain maries containing hot food were empty, it took a long time for them to be replenished. The hotel restaurant which we only used once whilst we were staying, was very good with great care taken in the presentation of food. The prices are more than in town though, as they tend to slap on service charge and VAT. The location is quieter as it's at the end of Patong Beach, however if you have walking difficulties you will need to take a taxi or tuktuk into town which will cost you 200baht each way. Obviously if you are fit and well then you could walk it in about 20mins. I think that we would return to this hotel, but have many other locations we would like to explore first.

Halal Food For simple, tasty and relatively cheaper Thai/Malay food, try the halal food outlet at the 1st. floor of the market complex opposite Carrefour (JungCeylon Mall). At the slightly pricier Arab/Thai restaurants, a single dish of Thai food eg. Fried rice/Tom yam soup is adequate for 2 person.
