travelling around from Karon There's a public bus that you can catch from Kata Beach that goes through Karon and then into Phuklet town every 1/2 hour. It costs 30 baht each way. There are no bus stops. You just hail the bus where you want to get on and push a button on the ceiling to tell the driver where you want to get off. You pay the driver when you get off. Other transport is quite expensive in comparison to Chiang Mai. There is also a bus that goes from Phuket Town to Patong Beach.
