Just make your way to phi phi phi phi island is so much nicer in every way to phuket, If you arrive in Phuket just leave and go to phi phi or any other islnad

If you go as a family If you are traveling as a family, you will pay for the services. It is a great location and a beautiful place. There are great budget hotels for the backpacker, tourist, etc at great prices, but advise well thought planning when traveling with family.

Sea lice/fleas In Thailand my children always seem to come out in strange bites which they get in the sea. Although we all feel them, only the children seem to react. They feel like nettle stings and we always assumed it was some kind of plankton or something, but this last trip I discovered that it is a tiny creature (a bit like a flea). I can't find info about this critter anywhere on the internet but if you do end up with these bites or stings, Tiger Balm seemed to help and also antihistamine. Sadly I don't know what can be done to prevent it happening.
