We have just returned from spending 6 nights at the Jiva Resort and whilst it is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, if you're looking for peace and relaxation, give it a miss! It is perfect for families with children under about 10 but they do make an incredible amount of noise. Most rooms overlook the pool and the screaming, screetching and crying is amplified by the water and the enclosed area. An afternoon siesta is definitely out of the question! Coupled with the noise of doors slamming and children running around the room above (at all times of the day and night), even couples who adore kids may end up hating them after a few days!
