The hotel was excellant, the rooms very comfortable and a huge bed, i had a room to my self which you could easily fit a family in comfortably. The breakfast was great everything from Thai through to American. The only down fall to the hotel is that they charge you a 1000bht to bring a guest back for the evening (thats why it is a 9 not a 10) but if you speak to them before hand i am sure they will come to some sort of arrangement. But overall excellent.

Our family visited the Andaman Sea view hotel recently for 12 nights and found it to be fantastic, the staff was friendly and helpful although only understood limited English. The views from the hotel overlooked the pool area and the sea we would certainly return to this hotel - couldn't fault anything about it.

Top Local Tips for Phuket

Elephant Trek You can go for an elephant ride in Patong near the beach if you just want an elephant ride but to trully experience an Elephant trek I recommend you spend the extra money and go to mainland Thailand into the rainforest for an experience of a lifetime. The Elephants and their handlers where brilliant - and the lunch we recieved in the middle of the jungle was fantastic. We even got to go for a swim in a cold stream near a waterfall which was very welcome after going through the hot jungle.

moving from karon to phuket town You can take a song thaew to phuket town right infront of the hotel, take it from the opposite side. it only cost 25 baht perperson per way. Cheap and fun way to experience PHuket!! From the terminal at Phuiket, you can then go around town on tutuk or take another song thaew to patong.

Must dos..... Elephant Trekking - pay a bit more and spend the day on a proper trek in the Jungle A Pang Nga. James Bond Island - again, pay a bit more and sail around the Thai Hongs on board the June Batra - much more luxurious than the usual speedboats - highly recommended! Fantasea - Phukets Disney equivalent - the park is great fun, the evening buffet magnificent and well organised and the Show was superb. Fantasea will collect you from your hotel and deliver you home...all included in the price (about £23 for entrance to the park, the show, the buffet and the transfers......bargain!). Food - DinoPark in Karon looks like something out of the Flintstones...we thought it was great and ate there three times! For something a bit more special try EuroDeli in Karon - (just up from DinoPark) - Jo Jo the Chef certainly knows how to do it properly - more expensive in comparison to other food outlets (about £40 for 3 course inc drinks).....but absolutely worth it!
