Siam Bay View - Avoid it

I had stayed with Siam Bay View in June 2005. Only one word horrible. I will like to suggest that please avoid the hotel. The staff is too bad for a hotel. The housekeeping was bad and room service was even worse. I had asked for room cleaning around 5:00 and the reception staff said that the policy of hotel is that room can be cleaned only in morning and any additional cleaning will cost 500 bhat. Something weirder I had never heard. The breakfast was really bad. Staff of reception thinking as if they are from royal family, and all other people are waste. Kindly avoid the hotel that was my personal experience.

Getting Around Try to hire a car (easy and cheap) and get outside pattaya too see some nice countryside

Not really a place for the family Pattaya is not a family destination. Majority of the tourists are unfortunately there for one reason only …. Very sad! Out of the five golf courses we played, St Andrews was by far the best followed closely by Laem Chabang. We took the kids to the Thai Alangkarn show which the kids enjoyed.

Kids playgrounds at Supermarkets We went with our kids to the supermarkets here in Pattaya (Carrefour / Tesco Lotus / Big C) and all of them had assigned areas for kids to play which was great fun for our child. Shopping is also very good to very moderate prices. Additionally there are two big markets in Pattaya, Soi Buakaw Tuesday / Friday and Thepprasit Road Friday / Saturday / Sunday. Local markets to walk through and enjoy being under Thais.
