taxis Pattya has open air mini van looking transport going around and around the area. You just wave your hand, get in the back, and when you want to get off press the buzzer. I've done this travelling the many times I've been there and find it extremely convenient. You just pay 10 baht per person for each trip. Remember that the 10 baht just pays for that road that you are travelling on. If you want to get on another side street then press the buzzer, pay the driver and get onto another mini van. Sorry but I don't really know what to call this type of transport for we don't have them here in Hong Kong.

Dont go there you will hate it! No history temples trips places or anything of culture. No beach grubby and steep 4m strip. Full of prostitutes along WALKING STREET and this is "in your face" 24 hours a day seven days a week Male social misfits, Russian loud pushy and usually drunk.....sex tourist everywhere.Would not go back if you paid me!

Bargain for Great Deals Arts & Crafts, Masks, Wall Hangings etc. are available at unbelievable prices at some of the shops on walking street. And, ofcourse you may even bargain as much as 40% - 30% below the quoted price to get an even better deals. We picked up a 3.5 ft long wooden mask for 1200 bahts.
