Banburee was a truly THAI hospitality resort. Staff were great, esp the FOM Alisara. We got transferred out of Horrible Central Samui Village after one night there. Banburee resort has good food & nice housekeepers. Clean & roach-free. Very relaxing place for couples & families. Villas are like a 1-bedroom cum living room with huge bathroom & outdoor rain shower.

Top Local Tips for Koh Samui
Best Massage in Bo Phut The beach ones aren't bad but charge 300 Bht for 1 hour exactly (May 09). Better is 400 Bht for 2 hours at the Koh Samui Grand Plaza - unfortunately you have to walk to the main road (5 mins) but it's well worth it !! I think the girls there used to work in a high-end hotel spa, and it really shows.
Airport Taxi Do not pay the price the taxi driver says when leaving the airport to your hotel - always haggle! Half the price and take it from there.
