This is a BIG thank you to all the staff at Ancient Realm for making our stay such a fabulous time! We had a great time, and are sure to recommend you to our friends and family. We have your check out souvenir gift hanging up on the patio at the back of our house back home in Oz, as a reminder of our great stay in your resort and our wonderful trip to Thailand! We really liked the small boutique homely feeling of Ancient Realm. The cocktails are unforgettable!

Great place to stay. Highly recommended. We reserved a package including massage treatments for an extremely low price considering what we received, and how we were treated! The bungalows were very clean and nicely decorated. Food was great and inexpensive. We booked speed boat tours directly with them, and got them cheaper than the other places we had looked in the main town. Good service and prices. The beach and resort is nice looking and the staff were extremely friendly like most Thais! A great Holiday!

For the price, and in the low season, this is hands down the best accommodation you will find in koh lanta! Most resorts close either their doors, or have only a few staff or are not running all facilities or swimming pool etc in the low season. However, Ancient Realm remains open the whole year, still did transfers to the airport for us, still arranged tours for us, served good cheap food and drinks, had discounts for the spa and massage and helped us out with anything and everything that we needed. They even helped with information for our following trip to Malaysia. We originally booked for four nights, and ended up staying for 3 weeks! Nothing else came close to what we got here for the price! And we looked! They kept everything running in the low season, on top of giving out free dvds and free computer with internet! We recommend this place to everyone that is looking to travel inexpensively in koh lanta throughout the low season, but still want top knotch service, with a smile. Thank you Ancient Realm, you made Koh Lanta great for us!!!

Go for the rooms, stay for the buffet!!!

First of all, reservation process was top knotch! Easy booking system compared to most call and email resort website types. Upon arrival got exactly what I looked, asked and payed for. Resort's express transfer from Krabi airport was surprisingly fast this time, I have had to wait at the ferry muuchh longer than that before. What I liked the most and why I am writing this review is because of the beach bbq buffet. This was the best food i have ever had in thailand, and was all you can eat for only 99 Baht. If you go to this resort, you must try their buffet. Wow!

Overall, rooms were kept clean, had good views of the ocean, and my laptop could pick up the wifi signal fairly good for an old machine. Outside bathrooms were a new experience, but I adjusted ok. The bed was the most comfortable on my trip, hands down. Klong Dao Beach was great, a little shallow, but VERY nice at high tide. Would go again for sure!

First and foremost I would like to thank the entire staff at Ancient Realm Resort & Spa for making my stay a very very memorable one indeed.
Resort is run by 2 fabulous people. A friendly and helpful Hong Kong and Aussie couple. The service there was TOP class. The entire staff there were very helpful and attended to my every need. I actually checked in at 2250hrs (Krabi Time) due to some road problems. Upon my arrival at the resort, they made sure that i was in my room immediate and were apologising for not being able to contact me earlier(not their fault at all. The agent who booked my resort didn't pass them my contact number!)and chose to do the paper work thingy the following day. Everything that i required was promptly delivered. Since they had just opened, their swimming pool and some other stuff were still undergoing contruction. Not that it mattered as the BEAUTIFUL beach was just 2 min away from my room. The beachfront room was superb. REally enjoyed the outdoor toilet. The atmosphere and ambience was brilliant. Since i went during the low season, it was really nice and peaceful, away from the all the hassles of a city. GREAT! The Lanta people there were really helpful and friendly. Love them. Bottomline LANTA ROCKS!! I would definitely be coming back to lanta and Ancient Realm in the near future. Pretty soon i hope. Thanks again Ancient Realm for making my stay a fantastic one!

Stayed here for one month in total! Great food, Great staff...but the best thing was the quality of the rooms and absolute beachfront. Would recommend the place to anybody looking for great value and a good time. Lisa

Top Local Tips for Koh Lanta

Arrange private transportation from your resort or hotel In the low season, I would advise others to book transportation directly through your resort. I have heard reports of other people waiting for their transportation for a long time, or missing it completely. It may be more expensive, but its well worth it.

moped get a moped, even if you are a first time rider this place is perfect to learn!

Spa Treatments - Ancient Realm Resort & Spa Try they ear candling treatment - I have many treatment in HK. This is the must comfortable one. Another one is 100% Nature body Treatment. Woo... If you go there must to try it. I paid 5 times less than many place in Asia. I've got the best result and feeling in here.
