Top Local Tips for Chiang Mai
Night Markets If you like shopping, the night markets sell just about anything and everything!
shopping If you are crazy about shopping at the night bazaar, you might want to consider other hotels nearer to the bazaar, because it takes quite a walk(about 7-8 minutes),and your legs would feel tired especially when you walk back after exploring the night bazaar and carrying your shopping items. You should try the local restaurant call AroonRai while you stay there, just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. It serves delicious & authentic thai food. You MUST try the Thai Ice Coffee! The only regret was that the hotel doesn't have a swimming pool, so you can't really chill out at the pool side and have a sip of coconut! "

What we needed was a clean, modern, new hotel that is near to the heart of city for our first trip to CMai.
1)Booking with them direct was a breeze. Ms Jessica who handled my email was extremely prompt with her replies despite many queries / questions I had. I was extremely pleased with that.
2) Rooms - I booked the standard room. They are large with lots of space to walk around. The floor is exceptionally clean, we feel comfortable walking bare footed in room the whole time. Hard bed? it suited us fine.
Bathroom is modern and clean. Shower is powerful, towels are clean, hair dryer is provided.
3) Breakfast - no issue. Lots of choices to fill our stomach. Supper at the restaurant? The BBQ is certainly worth a try!
4) Location - a slow 10 minutes walk takes us to the night market. Walking to the OLD MORT was easy as well. Just that the road leading there is polluted with vehicle fumes. The Saturday night market (much better than night bazaar) is not too far away.
There is a good tour agent nearby, reasonable in price, honest and efficient. There is also a superb traditional thai massage nearby.
Pink light district? It didn't bother me as I hardly take notice! If you are single, I guess it is not a bad place to stay to hang out.
We did look for other hotels, but given the price, location and most important of all, the cleanliness of our room, we stayed the whole 6 nights.
