Wonderful location, staff and restaurant first class. Sunset in Bangkok from the rooftop bar is a sight to behold. Breakfast buffet best I've had in many years travelling.

Meter Taxis Always ask the driver to turn on the meter. If he refuses, do not use that taxi.

Clothes made to measure It is a well known Bangkok feature to find tons of shops where you can get a very cheap prices clothes made to measure. Of course you might need to take a bit of care when choosing the one you want to buy from, and even not taking into great account what often tuk-tuk drivers say when you get a ride with them...: "I'll take you first to a shop and then where you want to if you don't mind..."; that's why many of these tailors' shops give free fule bonuses to tuk-tuk drivers if they bring new clients...However, the area around Silom Rd. is pretty full of these shops and they are more or less all ok, A personal advice is "Manhattan Custom Tailors", located in 455/42-45 Rama 6Road.
