5 nights in Bangkokfrom NWWJAN
We stayed in a Superior Studio and my wife who arrived before me was allowed to check in even though it was only around 10 a.m.
Her first impression was that the room was very spacious. I too found the room spacious and well furnished. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment of the rooms but unfortunately we were in one of the older rooms. However the state of the room was still quite satisfactory considering that it was an "old" room. The breakfast spread was more than adequate and fresh.
The location was also a plus point as it was only a 5 minute walk to the main road (Sukhumvit Rd) and another 3 minutes to Asoke BTS Station. For those who are too lazy to even walk this short distance, the hotel provides a shuttle service (tuk-tuk) to the amin road or BTS station.
We were allowed al late check out of 2 p.m. as we had a late flight home and before we left for the airport at 5p.m., the bell captain offered us the use of the bathroom facilities in the health centre to freshen up (a shower was even available even though we did not use it).
We will definitely consider staying at the hotel on our next visit as it was good value for money and compared favourably with some of the other hotels that we have stayed in.
Thank you for the favourable feedback. Your feedback is important to us as we strive to improve our services. We look forward to welcoming you back in your next visit.

Good service and good value for moneyfrom Miker5
The suites are modern, well equipped and maintained.
The staff is very professional and friendly and gives you a feeling that you are welcome.
The hotel has a small but nice pool and a fully equipped fitness room. The restaurant offers Thai and International food and the quality and service are high.
In general, very good location, highly service oriented and excellent price performance.
This is my second stay at the Royal president and I will return to this hotel during my next visits to Bangkok.
ll be backfrom ntwSydney
I stayed at this hotel for 4 weeks earlier this year while on business in Bangkok. I prefer smaller more personal hotels and this hotel fits the bill.
This hotel is called a serviced apartment. I stayed in a suite; it was more like a one bedroom apartment with separate bedroom and a living room. The bedroom had a king size bed and its own TV. The living room had an adjoining kitchenette that is well fitted out including a washing machine and dryer. The room seems to have been recently renovated and I quite liked it, well suited to an extended stay.
I found the location very convenient, close to Sukhumvit Road, the sky train and underground railways and quite easy to get a taxi from. One thing I like about this hotel is that you are not accosted by a rabble of touts and rip off taxis whenever you walk out onto the street.
The staffs at this hotel are very good, speak English and are friendly and helpful. All round I found the Royal President very good and I will return
a little gemfrom dolcevita88
The location was ideal as it was between 2 BTS stations both around a five minute walk from the hotel however the road is not very conducive for pedestrians so please watch out when walking. For the faint hearted or ones with very small children there is a shuttle service provided by the hotel. Otherwise there were taxis galore and this was excellent (as we forgot to book a car to the airport) and we had to leave very early for Phuket, (around 5 am) there were three parked outside the hotel. But please be aware that one had to establish the price or insist on using the meters prior to getting in. Please don’t expect a hotel staff to do this. They are on hand to translate only. This generally goes for anything that has to do with “price fixing’ in all Thailand as the locals are afraid of retribution from the party later.
The hotel is clean, cosy and homely and being in a notorious city like Bangkok there are none of those ‘business ladies” hanging around the hotel lobby. Great for families. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Breakfast wasn’t too elaborate but had sufficient choices. Pool and gym could be in a more private location.
There are shopping centres, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, clubs and spas all within walking distance, what more can one asks?
We had stayed in the Sofitel Service apartment last year which we found very sparse and clinical and we had paid almost double! Yes, we’ve stayed in other 5 star hotels in Bangkok but we find that serviced apartments like this hotel ideal as we are able to, for example, try exotic fruits and other delicacies in a separate area and not on the bed!
It is very good value for money and after reading the other bad reviews on this site I find it quite unfair as security checks are very welcomed in my books (ref: Mar 27, 2007 arkom, Lake Forest, CA)
By the way I went back 3 weeks later with my daughter, my best friend and her 3 daughters (“girls only trip”) stayed in the Penthouse Suite for 5 days was very well looked after and we had a great time!
Now I’m back in Italy counting the days to my next trip back and I shall certainly stay in the Royal President!

The best choice, to my opinionfrom Dr_Dave100
About 4 years ago, a friends recommended me the Royal President, I tried it and found it to be the best choice and best value for money. Since then, I stay in the Royal President each time I visit BKK (few times a year).
The location is great ... nearby 2 sky train stations (Nana and Asoke) and also underground station. You can find in this area anything you need and very easy to get anywhere. The rooms are big and clean, modern style, with all the necessary facilities. The public area of the hotel is small and doesn't look like train station and it gives a very warm and homy feeling. The staff and service are excellent which make the staying in the hotel very pleasant.
There are many good hotels in BKK area and during the years, I stayed in some of them, as I mentioned above. Yet, they are usually very expensive and the location is not always good. This is why i got to the conclusion that if you are looking for a very good hotel with the best rooms and service, with great location and warm hospitality .... and still very reasonable price, to my opinion, The Royal President is the best choice.
Nice and Cosy !from golf-with-Dan
I have uploaded pictures of the room for viewing. Its location is convenient and is near the train station. They even have a free shuttle service to the sky train. This is definitely excellent value for money.
