7. price is a bit high (75$ in march not incuding tax), but value for money is worth it.
Great location, great price
from A TripAdvisor MemberWe booked two rooms (there were four of us)and we were amazed how large the rooms were. They were huge against some of the hotels I have stayed in over the years. Each room had two double beds and a full bathroom. The rooms were clean and comfortable with lovely views over the swimming pool.
The breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly (usual buffet style) A mixture of Thai and continental food. The seating area is quite small so some mornings we had to wait for a seat as it was full.
We ate in the hotel restaurant (same place as breakfast is served) one evening and found the food to be of a good standard. They serve Thai food as well as having a selection of Indian and European dishes including pizza, fried chicken etc.We all had the Thai food and found it very nice and well presented. The desserts were lovely too. There is a small bar area in the hotel entrance which serves cocktails etc.We received a voucher on arrival for a free cocktail which was a nice touch.
Just across the road is a supermarket which is very handy. They sell phone cards in there, a phone box is just outside the supermarket.Taxis and Tuk Tuk's are available outside the hotel. They call out all the time for you to take a taxi so no trouble getting one of these. We took the hotel's own taxi one day and asked him to take us to a clothes market. We ended up being taken to every gem and gold outlet!! We kept saying "NO gold or gems" and had to be really firm with the driver to finally get him to take us where we wanted to go. He drove us round for 45mins, a trip that should have taken just 10mins. Needless to say we avoided the hotel taxi the rest of our stay.
The swimming pool is nice with plenty of sunbeds but is not lit up in the evening which we thought was a shame. You have to swim almost in the dark!!!
The hotel location is very good. Near to lots of bars and restaurants. Also near the sky train.Great in the evenings as the place really comes alive!
To sum up, we found this hotel to be very good for the price (buy 3 nights get the 4th free) in a great location with friendly staff. Yes there are much better hotels in Bangkok but for the money this hotel is hard to beat.We loved it.
Good value
from CANINLONGreat hotel
from RN_SmithIf there weren't so many other hotels to sample in Bangkok we would definitely be back. Certainly would recommend it.
Disappointed
from limehogThe lobby area is fine but the elevators are very small and quite slow
The room has a lot of minor defects despite being recently renovated, such as broken hanger in the closet, a not fully working kettle, broken bathtub tap (water came out like a fountain)
Breakfast has limited selection and their quality not as good as those in Westin Grande down the road or Dusit Thani Hotel which belongs to the same Group.
The most annoying part is somebody stole a small nummerical lock attached to our small Delsey travel bag. Since it is a small travel bag which we always carry on board the plane, we never bother to use the small numerical lock that was attached to the outside pocket of the bag by a plastic tie. The next day, we found the lock is missing and the plastic tie was left on the table
The second annoying thing is they did not was the glass that have been used. Lipstick mark remailed on the rim of the glass. To make things worse is they put the unwashed glass back with the unused glass pretending that it has been cleaned up
For US$120++ per night , I can have a lot of other choices in Bangkok.
Loved it
from geordieklWent to the temples very impressive! Also went on a river cruise on the evening worth doing to see the sights by night.
We spent two nights in the Belle Aire Princess, it was central within easy reach of the shopping/sights.
The room was very modern and well appointed with everything you needed. Very comfortable. Excellent breakfast - would recommend this hotel to you.
Brilliant hotel
from Legionella777Very Happy Customer
from Muse2005The staff have always been friendly and helpfull, The rooms are nice and clean, The breakfast is great, The Swimming Pool is great with plenty of sunbeds, and the pool staff are always very friendly, you can order drinks and food at the pool.
The ambience in the bar with a piano playing is very nice. Location, cannot be better 150 yards up Sukhumvit soi 5, 5 minute walk to Nana Skytrain Station. A popular hotel with families this hotel you will return to time and time again.
Top Local Tips for Bangkok
sky train travel around on the sky train ..its so easy and you will get to your destination quicker, and a lot cheaper.
Chatachak Market Chatachak market is on every Saturday and Sunday and has both outdoor and indoor stalls. It's the biggest market I've ever been to and is a great experience. The Skyrail stops right outside the market so it's really easy to get to. Big Tip- take a huge bottle of water with you as if you go in the hotter months like we did it's like being in a sauna!
Travelling at New years It is easy to travel into, out of and around Bangkok at any time of the year accept Christmas time, New years and the Thai new years. These are their busiest times so i would suggest that for the week of christmas to new year you book all transfer links in advance and accomodation to be on the safe side. We were double book on our flight from Bangkok to Phuket on the 28th December and there wasn't another available flight until the 2nd Jan. All other times of the year you can travel out of bangkok within about an hour of getting to the airport. I also suggest that if you can't fly that you don't go by taxi. The bus is cheaper and airconditions for a fraction of the price as it is a 15hour trip!!
