Historical Traveller Reviews of Amari Atrium Hotel
great hotel
from A TripAdvisor MemberMy sister had a thai massage in the hotel and said it was excellent, and it wasnt too expensive. We were very pleased with the meals, they had a large variety and we enjoyed it.
The rooms were nice and clean and we had a nice view. The only negative thing i found was you had to get a taxi to the main shopping malls and markets but if you bartered, you could get a good price. I would stay at this hotel again, and therefore i would definitely recommened this hotel.
Excellent service at the Amari Atrium plus free wireless broadband access...
from neilmadhvaniThe breakfast was also impressive - a large variety of Western and Asian dishes were on offer, and the staff were very efficient. The free wireless broadband connection in the lobby area is a thoughtful and extremely useful amenity. Rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. The hotel has a nice rooftop pool as well.
Note that whilst the hotel is within walking distance (around 7-10 minutes) of the nearest MRT station (Phetchaburi), the route is extremely busy and polluted for most of the day, often making it a slightly unpleasant walk. However taxis are of course plentiful and affordable in Bangkok, so that wasn't an issue.
Wai Not
from lareuExcellent hotel and value for money
from A TripAdvisor MemberThe Spa on the outside of the hotel overlooking the city is fabulous, as is the quality of the food served for breakfast.
In short a great hotel, offering unrivalled value for money, only slightly let down because of its "out of centre" location.
I would stay here agian in a jiffy!
lovely hotel
from CairnserWhat friendly staff!
from A TripAdvisor MemberEven the rooms had a great view! Ours looked out into a skyline of tall towers and quite close to the hotel, I saw one of the quaintest little cottage houses. The room looked exactly as seen in all photos, although I feel it woudl have looked even better if it had a bowl of fruit or a couple of orchids in a vase.
The food is excellent.
Altogether a very nice hotel will definitely stay there when I visit Bangkok again.
Amari time in Bangkok!
from MistyLawA good quality hotel with excellent facilities and a small but pretty pool which opens till 10pm. Great resturaunts, offering steaks, burgers, Italian fayre but didn't see many Thai dishes on the menu. A courtesy bus takes you into the city centre which is about a 15-minute drive away. Its a little further out but the price and value for money is attractive. I would stay at this hotel again.
Loved it!
from A TripAdvisor MemberWe were upgraded to a suite on arrival, the room and bathroom were huge with ceiling to floor windows which offered a great view over the city. I especially liked the bar and restaurant, which was open till late at night. We checked it out after we came back from a night out and ordered some food and a couple of shots which after youve drank them, you get to throw at a wall in the bar and smash them! The buffet breakfast had a good selection of food and catered for everyone tastes. When we arrived we were offered a Thai guide, who was very good and picked us up each morning with our driver to show us around the sites including the temples, floating market and places which were slightly off the beaten track.
One thing i would recommend is going to a thai kick boxing match which we did one night, it might not be to everyones tastes but it was an experience and had a real atmosphere of thai culture.
I wouldn't hestitate to stay here if i visited bangkok again - it was ideal hotel for exploring the city.
Fantastic!
from A TripAdvisor MemberWould definitely reccommend this hotel - especially as it made families welcome too.
Best Hotel in its class

Why everyone is wearing yellow Everyone in Thailand loves the King who by all accounts is an all round good guy. Depending on what day he is born you get a colour and for the current King that is yellow. People show support for the King by wearing yellow (expect a wall of yellow on his birthday which I believe is in December)!
things i enjoyed in bangkok there is so much to do in bangkok so i would recommend you try and plan ahead if you only have a short time there. i would recommend the suam lum night bazaar as it has a beer garden, lot of food stalls, a market, though the entertainment is not the best. i also suggest going to patpong market just for the experience if you have not already been, as long as you are not offended easily. i also really enjoyed going to see some thai boxing, and although it is quite expensive, i'm glad i saw it in bangkok as in phuket i felt it was more of a 'show' than real fighting! a trip along the klongs is a real eye opener and would definately recommend this. what i would advise is just to arrange it all yourself when you get there as it is so easy to do (and cheaper) rather than booking it all through your travel agent or travel rep. i must admit i was not impressed with the weekend market, once you have been to one market, you've seen them all!
City of Angels Depends what you want.I have to admit to being no great lover of Bangkokbut I had to stay there for medical reasons, so choose the Royal River Hotel for the ambience and tranquilityo f the river views.
