Home from home
from UKYorkieSwimming pool on the roof is great especially the water spa, and the small gym is ok to burn a few excess calories off.

Always a Great Experience
from ccneilllaundry room on the fifth floor, which is very convenient. The Sky Train is a short walk from the hotel. There are many very good restaurants nearby and a Mini-Mart downstairs. I highly recommend the Admiral Suites.
Nice place to stay with excellent service and friendly people...
from EvaRoeschVery Pleasant at Admiral Suites
from JoeArdenOur positive impressions began prior to our arrival, when in a number of e-mail exchanges with Khun Howie Lin, the Manager, he always responded quickly and with accurate, complete information. This initial positive impression was reinforced in a subsquent telephone conversations and even more so upon our arrival.
Why have we liked the Admiral Suites? First, the location is certainly convenient. Not merely to the Sky Train, but also to a whole group of good restaurants with varied cuisines. Furthemore two or three of Bangkok's most sophisticated bars/lounges are located on Soi 20---literally a five-seven minute walk. Of particular note as well is that when staying at the Admiral Suites, one is able to use---gratis---the facilities of the Capitol Club, a prestigious private club close by on Soi 24, which has an excellent fitness center, saunas, restaurants, etc. My wife and used the Capitol Club Fitness Center almost daily...and, were most pleased with it. (Let me note that there also is a small fitness center and pool in the Admiral itself...we simply tended to prefer the Capitol Club.)
An equally important reason that we have enjoyed our stay so much is the graciousness and friendliness of the entire staff to include not merely Howie but also very much the front desk staff, the doormen, and the maids. My wife and I have made numerous special requests of all of the above and always everyone was more than willing to extend herself/himself to assist us.
The rooms themselves entirely adequate and are kept very clean on a daily basis. Of particular note is that at least the two different rooms which we have occupied since being here have both had lots and lots of shelf/drawer space. Given our particular life style, this was particularly helpful to us.
In summary, we have very much enjoyed being here at the Admiral. We are pleased to recommend it, and depending upon our future travels, would certainly look foward to returning in the future.
Finally, let me note that for many years, I have been in a position that saw me staying in hotels/serviced apartments for 200-250 nights each year. Thus, our comments stem from a background that has involved a considerable amount of travel---around the world.
The Place to Stay in Bangkok
from thailandjohnWe consider Admiral Suites our home away from home.
During our stays in Thailand, we travel to many places and we feel that Admiral Suites ranks with the best, in service and in taking care of the small details
Rooms are very clean and maintenance of all of the facilites is tops!
The location of Admiral Suites is excellent. Ten minute walk to Sukumvit Road and the Skytrain and a short taxi ride or a 15 minute walk to the new MRT (subway)
Considering all things expected in a first class hotel, we highly recommend the Admiral Suites
Your comments are warmly received and shared with all our staff here. We are very much encouraged and spurred to further excel in offering the highest quality of service in the heart of Bangkok. We look forward to serving you soon.
Very Good for the Price
from MarkusWongLong experience with Admiral Suites
from GarethPowellIt is always a pleasant experience. The staff have the Thai quality of 'sanuk' so everyone is friendly and helpful. I simply do not understand the entry that condemns it. It is totally opposite to my long time experience.
The rooms are clean, the Internet connection works, messages are taken, the wake-up call is always on time, the laundry is delivered although there is a washing machine on the fifth floor. There is also a small gym where you can run and within longish walking distance an excellent upmarket place where the hotel gives you free membership.;
So is everything perfect?
No. Breakfast in the coffee shop which is attached but not run by the hotel is not good. Lunch time and evening the Thai food is excellent but breakfast leaves much to be desired.
It is in a slightly out-of-the-way place - soi 22 - and you need to be able to say, 'Khap, Sukhumvit, yi sip song khap. The difficult word is the 'song' which swoops as in ' saawwng' but you quickly get used to it.
Apart from that for me this is one of the better bargains in hotels in Bangkok because I have simply have never had a bad experience. I have the greatest difficulty in believing the story about the towels. I just cannot see how it happened or what happened or why.
I will sign myself so that anyone who knows me will vouch for the fact that when I was travel editor of the Sydney Morning Herald I often savaged hotels. But not this one. This one is good value and is well run.

Very Poor Experience!
from Dave1001Strong odor from shower drain.
No hot water for evening shower.
Dried human feces on bath towel.
Towels old and gray color.
Spoke to property manager and got an "I'm sorry" response.
Would have left after ONE night but had a pending appointment in the morning so couldn't find another hotel till the afternoon.
Best thing about the Admiral Suites was leaving!
First and foremost, I would like to clarify a few issues towards our operation.
Admiral Suites is well-known among its patrons to offer high quality accommodation at value for money prices. The property highly regards cleanliness, comfort, and privacy, and boasts a long list of repeat guests, whether independent travelers or corporate travelers from prestigious companies.
In regard to linen and laundry, Admiral Suites out-sources its laundry services (linen and guest laundry) to Novotel Hotel Sukhumvit 33, which is part of the international hotel chain Accor.
All our linen goes through stringent quality control procedures to ensure that only fresh and crisp linen is delivered to guest rooms.
With regard to hot water, each guest room is fitted with a Stiebel Eltron water heater, which is the world’s premier water heater brand from
Germany. Moreover, each Admiral Suites guest room features high quality
GROHE mixer faucets, hence, and issue of no hot water should not happen.
Nonetheless, we are open to guest suggestions and comments, and are more than willing to help our guests, as it is our intention to provide a comfortable and memorable stay to each and every guest. If there is a problem with the room, we would immediately rectify the issue, or otherwise, change the room or even provide an upgrade just to make sure that our guest has an enjoyable stay.
Admiral Suites is home away from home for many of our valued guests, and we strife to provide quality services.
Thank you
Manager
Quite Comfortable

from A TripAdvisor MemberTop Local Tips for Bangkok
Baipai cooking school I had a fantastic experience at the Baipai cooking school. A van even picked us up from the hotel.
Top quality resturants Many excellent eating places in Bangkok. Expect to pay "big city" prices.
Getting a taxi at the new airportt As you come out of customs you will be approached by assorted touts offering car or taxis to where you are going. Ignore them for they charge more than double. You will see an escalator going down to the next floor. You can take your trolley on it. On that floor you will see a taxi office with taxis behind and a small queue. Say where you are going and a form is written out and given to a cab driver. The stand clearly states you pay 50baht extra to the driver plus tolls. Worth going on the superhighway so the tolls come to 55 baht altogether and meter for a trip to, say, Sukhumvit will be well under 300 baht. Compare this to the 600 or 800 baht you aree asked for by the touts upstairs and you can see it is well worthwhile.
