Night Zoo Its worth going to the Night Safari on the outskirts of Singapore as you see the animals at night.They are not so aware of you and its an unusual experience. I believer its the only night zoo in the world.

Taxis in Singapore suck We were stranded on the streets many times when the subways were already closed or because we were far from a subway. Taxis in Singapore get an extra few dollars if they respond to a call. Empty taxis will often not stop for people because they are either on their way to a call or waiting for a call they know will come any minute and get them that extra few dollars vs. stopping for you. If you really need to get home, you are at their mercy. You can either chance it and wait for quite a long time like we did sometimes or just bite the bullet and pay the extra few dollars and make the call yourself. It's a shame becuase everything else about Singapore is so nice.

Walking Tours The Original Singapore Walks are wonderful. They have had to raise their prices, but I believe it is well worth every penny. If you are really interested in learning about Singapore while you are there, take part in one of the many tours.
