Top Local Tips for Singapore

Get a taxi from the airport Yes, the public transport system is excellent. But to use it, you need to get between airport terminals (which has been made perversely difficult with a trolley), get tickets, lug bags onto the train, change at Tanah Merah (always to a crowded train) and finally get from your station to hotel. A taxi costs around $20, depending on the time of day, & we paid $16 going out. At this price, it's just not worth the trouble of doing anything else

Great Food Eat at Blue Ginger, the food is wonderful
