Tips Singapore is in the Tropics so practically anytime of year is a good time to go. Jurong Bird Park is worth it, especially if you catch the shows. The night Safari is okay, but is overrated and generally ho-hum; it's nothing but your usual zoo (but without bars) seen at night, and you see the animals only at a great distance. If you're looking for CDs, check the store at the basement of Phoenix Hotel, they usually have stuff cheaper than HMV. Young Damian there is an audiophile and can really help you out. Booze is very expensive in Singapore, and the selections are few. If you like fresh strawberry Margaritas, check out the half price special of Cafe Iguana @ Clarke Quay where the best good priced restos & GMax Bungy also are. For the best chocolates, seek Royce'Nama in Takashimaya. Ski 360 (take Bus 401) is interesting. Sentosa is a must-see since a great number of attractions are here. Don't forget the BlackPepper Crab!
