According to a couple of online reviews The Pearl manila is pet friendly, that is the reason why I booked a room online. However when I called to confirm my reservation they told me that they are not pet-friendly. I asked to speak to a manager and the person at the front desk put down the phone, I called back and the same thing happened. I wouldn't book this hotel ever again!

Stayed there for a week, room was spacious and clean, staff were friendly and helpful with good
security staff at front and rear of complex entries,pool area was always clean and high above
street noise and fumes,breakfast was very good and varied to some degree daily. Location is on a very congested traffic area which was a little overwelming initially and the front entrance on an
urban side street,but lots within walking distance
with plenty of eateries around and Time Plaza 50 meters away with eateries/internet/DVD's/cheap international call centre,didn't eat at main resturaunt as we are not into asian but ate at cafe on ground level which found very nice.
Although Hotel is not in a prime location I would have no hesitation to stay there again if
we were to return.only one problem Hotel does not cash travellers Cheques and found same problem with banks ect(cash US dollars prefered).

Transportation in Manila The Pearl is close the U.N. Ave. LRT station. The trains are the only method of fast transportation in Manila now with the increasing road congestion, if they go close to your destination.

Philippine Airlines Swingaround package my travel agent booked a swingaround package via Philippine airlines, and we got an outstanding value on air fare, transfer, and hotel. The price was unbeatable! And use those mabuhay miles. From the USA, you build up LOTS of miles FAST!!

Manila Tips Try to fly in on a Sunday, much less crowded and crazy at airport. Use cabs with meters and make sure they use the meter. Go to Mall of America (best on weekdays) and Ocean Park aquariium (weekdays only). Tip room attendants most days. Amazing psychic man on Padre Faura Ave, very close to but across the street from Robinsons Mall going towards Taft Ave. (only P50 for a reading), 9Am-3PM weekdays.
