warnings & retail therapy As always please take care of your belongings. There are foreigners who leave their bags with all their money & stuff at a supermarket cart to get something. There are pickpockets here even in tha malls. I'd also not go to Colon (downtown) as that's where the poor people shop (no discrimination but more pickpockets). Take a taxi to SM mall or Ayala center where there are plenty of eats. Ayala carries more international brands like lacoste, pearl jewelry (Jewelmer), benetton. But if you are looking for Philippine branded apparel both SM & Ayala has them. As for nightlife, Ayala mall has some bars & clubs. Be aware also with overly friendly people who'll take you to go somewhere. Book your tours in the hotel or in malls. SM has plenty of travel agencies.
