Fly to Caticlan Always take the flight from Manila to Caticlan, not Kalibo, it is a far more relaxing option. Also get Jonys to arrange a private boat to meet you, it's well worth the experience.

Trip to Boracay As first-timers, me and my boyfriend had experienced rushed reservations but blessing in disguise, our picked hotel had been a very nice place to stay. Since we have heard that going to Boracay will be better when you ride a plane going to Caticlan, it would still be best and safer if you will land to Kalibo first and take a 2-hr bus ride. We had been with a plane expert during our ride to Kalibo and he told us that he had been going out of town and would always take Kalibo trip than Caticlan since the plane is bigger and safer. Also, when booking for a flight, make sure to get the first flight so that you may early experience Boracay. When booking for hotels from a travel agency, make sure to ask all inclusions (e.i. terminal fee, environmental fee) for a smoother trip and you may have your budget at hand. Bring bags that are easy to carry; a backpack is the best!
