I was there middle of this year, together with my husband and 2 year old son to attend a one night business forum inside the john hay grounds and we stayed at the manor and extended our vacation for two days because of the splendid view and ambiance of the place. The people there were polite and very accommodating. Our room was perfect and I find the dresser very cozy and comfortable indeed!! The breakfast buffet was superb, ranging from freshly baked breads to french toasts, vegetable salads and fresh fruits to sumptous native pinoy delicacies and american and european dishes! My kid loved running and enjoyed the delightful garden and the mountain scene at the back. My husband tells me we will surely come back to this mountain paradise.

Top Local Tips for Baguio City

same old baguio this place has nothing to offer except cool climate...don't waste your hard earned money in this place, pleeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taxis Some people complained about taxis overcharging on flat rate instead of the meter. It is the law in the Philippines that taxi's have to use the meter. If you find one that will not, report him to the Land Transportation office, LTFRB, the phone number has to be on the taxi, report the license number. I just tell taxi drivers, no meter, no fare, their choice. The LTFRB does crack down on taxis overcharging tourists, so don't hesitate to report them. In case you don't want to argue with the taxi driver, just get the cabs license number and telephone number of LTFRB off the cab and report it. The overcharges are usually about double the meter rate, so unless you are going a long distance the overcharge is not much in dollars.

Everything Else Arriving and Departing - Take Victory Liner or (which we trusted) or if you want to save time , fly thru asian spirit but better ask the travel agent which airline goes to baguio. Public Transportation such as jeep , taxi , car rentals are available there. You can also check from the hotel because they have hotel cars which can take u anywhere and u can negotiate the price. You can visit the Burnham Park, SM Mall for shopping, the public market, Tam-Awan Vilalge where the aborigines used to live ,45 hours from the main baguio and the strawberry farm. Baguio is very traffic these days. When i was young, it never been like that. You should have a day activity listed each day so your days won't be wasted.
