Top Local Tips for Lahore

Pollution We were totally unprepared and did not take seriously enough warnings of pollution. The city is quite old, particularly where the sights are, and the infrastructure is not modern enough to cope, whether this is sanitation/hygiene or whether it is vehicular traffic. The fumes from heavy goods vehicles, buses, rickshaws and taxis is positively suffocating and gave us all headaches and nausea at various times. Nothing can prepare you for the pollution of Lahore in the Old City, which is a tragedy because there are some memorable, important, historical sights here.

Transport Facilities Although, public Transport has somewhat improved recently, but it is still well behind the acceptable international standard. The best way to travel around is by making use of the Hotel's Rental car service with a driver; the cost is affordable for most travellers from the developed countries.
