Shotover Jet This might seem like an overly commercial activity, but was much better than either my wife or I were expecting. It is definitely not for the faint of heart, and I would hightly recommend it to anyone. It's a little expensive, but it was an exciting, memorable activity if you're not looking to cut costs.

sushi, burgers, ice cream there's a tiny Japanese restaurant on Beach St. that serves amazing Whitefish Katsu and tempura prawns. If you like hamburgers, you'll love Fergburger and don't forget Patagonia for delicious ice cream and chocolates.

make bookings for dinner out There are some amazing places to eat in queenstown, it can also be busy so if you're wanting a really nice dinner out somewhere special, get the hotel to book for you in advance, especially botswana butchery and solera vino. (solerna vino is small and botswana butchery is very popular). don't be the person that strolls in off the street asking for a table and is disappointed, or gets a table that they don't like and raises their voices and harrases the staff all night. that is just not respectful for the other dinners, staff or your guests. ask your hotel who they recommend, where they dine and what's it like?
