Top Local Tips for Queenstown
Make reservations if you have specific dining plans/hopes Places book up quickly! If you can, make dinner reservations early. Two wonderful dining experiences we had while in Queenstown - The Bunker (http://www.thebunker.co.nz/) and Gantley's (http://www.gantleys.co.nz/). Gantley's is just outside of Queenstown - but they provide complimentary pick-up service, so don't miss out on this one (even if you have a car, the pick-up service is worth it so you can fully enjoy their extensive wine list).
must do's make a trip to glenorchy (40 mins away), absolutley beautiful.also do the bungee swing or jump viewing over queenstown!!! also dont miss out millford sounds further south
Food places intown Boardwalk seafood restaurant (upstairs ) on Steamer Wharf is excellent , A little more up market but well worth the extra money , pre book as very busy, we ate at 9-30 pm so was a lot quieter , it was that good we pre-booked for the next evening. If you want good pub food try Pogs Mahone , also on quay front , great pie chips & pies ,very reasonable priced and home made ,
