Rent a car with a driver If you're not a backpaker of traveling in a group, the safest way to move around Nepal is with a car and driver. Few places in lakeside offer this service, but we found one - the glazier hotel travel agency - right in front of the hotel. It wasn't cheap (about $70 outslide of Pokhara per day), but along the way with 2 days on the road we saw 3 serious accidents, one deadly, and backpackers who took the tourist busses told us it was a terrible experience, so we recommend the drive. However, the drier we got smelled like a man who did not shower for a full month and we had to keep a window open even on the dustiest roads because his smell was unbarable. I would not take any other recommendations or order tours through the glazier hotel travel agency. Our Chitwan package was way overpriced, if you have the car, might as well drive there and find your own deal. hotels were at maybe 20% capacity and this was November. Day Return Hot Spring Tour I joined with 2 other Japanese for Day Return Hot Spring Tour. On the way we saw Slepping Buddha, Chettri Village, Paddy fields and Honey Hunters cliff. We enjoyed Bento Lunch Box prepared by TUSHITA ORGANIC RESTAURANT. Owner said that they have their own ECO FARM and tell us to visit www.ecofarmnepal.com We enjoyed this trip very much. We never forget for their kind hospitality and sincere service. We will definately recommend their homely atmosphere PENSION TUSHITA just in front of the Lake and Park.
