Lucky enough to Love our Tour Organizer! Just got back from Nepal--and boy, does this country rock! The people are wonderful, sweet and hospitable. The things to do and see are incomparable. And all at great value! We booked an organized tour via Shangrila Holidays--and they went over and beyond our expectations. I don't want to gush--but they are worth recommending truly. Beginning with prep--Pradip Pokharel was always quick to reply to my email queries--and best of all--they didn't require a scary credit card deposit via the internet--we were picked up at the airport efficiently and only settled our bill once we got there. It was such a relief, security wise. Once the tour got started, nothing could stop the Shangrila Holidays group--not even strikes or stalls on the main highway to/from Pokhara. The one main highway is prone to jams, but the team always knew in advance and were prepared. We took longer routes to get back to KTM, but they were scenic villages, something you wouldn't see on the highway! They were able to package Everest flights (not all that, if you ask me), white water rafting on the Trishuli river (amazing!), paragliding (a definite Bonamine moment--be prepared) and a short manageable trek that ended in a simple, rustic yet charming lodge called Sherpa Resort in Sangkarot. They were even able to get us great rates at Chitwan Jungle Lodge. The ShangriLa Holiday group was amazing--sure we had a couple of flat tires. But for sheer cheer, order and patience with out rambunctious group--these guys deserve the thumbs up! Check them out at nepalshangrila.com And hey, don't hesitate to ask me more if you want to.
