Best avoided unless you need to stay by the airport
from hav_kids-will_travel
With KL being nearly 50 miles away, the choice of hotel is very limited it you really must stay near the airport (or GP circuit). Nonetheless, I would recommend that you stay in the city (55 minutes by train or taxi) if at all possible. The hotels in the city really are excellent value.
Our group of nine (four adults and five children 6-15) were put-up here overnight at the last-minute by our airline due to weather-related delays.
The rooms are more akin to a youth-hostel than a hotel and although clean, each had a defect that really should have been fixed before we stayed (e.g. a sink dripping into a bucket in one room and a broken cold-water tap (faucet) in another).
Although the buffet at dinner was pretty dire, we didn't arrive until 10pm so I can't say whether the quality (and (lack-of) temperature was typical. The breakfast buffet was better but not great.
The shuttle to the airport was comfortable, free and fast.

I have stayed here about 4 times over the past few years. It is located close to KLIA and saves me having to travel right into K.L. It serves a purpose, the rooms are clean but the restaurant is very basic, food is below average in variety and quality.
Good value near airport
from Mile0
Stayed here twice while in transit thru KL International Airport. If you do not have time to spend in the city of KL, I recommend staying here. KL airport is a long distance from the city centre. Concorde Inn is a value motel located a free shuttle ride from the main int'l terminal or a 15 minute taxi ride from the LCCT (i.e., "Low Cost carrier" terminal, like Air Asia). Room price we got through Asia Rooms.com was $43 US including breakfast. Rooms are not fancy, but are clean and the restaurant is decent. Staff at front desk is efficient and friendly. We slept well in spite of close proximity to airport. If catching early flight, book airport transportation night before. Wake-up calls are very efficient here -- they dial you more than once to make sure you are up!
Concorde Inn KL Great for a stopover
from Solovetravel
Stayed one night at the Concorde Inn KL en route from Australia to UK. The hotel has a free shuttle bus, and the journey only takes about 10 mins. The room was clean, aircon brilliant, and shower/bathroom/hairdryer more than adequate. Staff very friendly and helpful. A little noise, but only to be expected so close to the airport, this however was not loud and did not stop a good night's sleep. Breakfast starts at 5.30am and was excellent - very wide range of different types of food. The train into KL is about 28 mins if you want to see the city. Would stay there again and soooooooo nice to have a bed to sleep on during such a long journey!
Ok for a stopover!
from AdrianGFC
Its ok for a stopover hotel - if you are in KL for more than 1 night, avoid this & use a hotel in the city!
Pro's:
Its handy to/from the KLIA Airport
Free shuttle bus to/from KLIA 5.30am - Midnight.
Nice check in staff
Handy Bar which is open until Midnight (albeit quite expensive)
Rooms are ok, typical Motel style rooms.
Reasonable room prices
Comfy beds
Nice shower
good aircon
Cons:
Worst food i've had in Malaysia! And expensive!
Some aircraft noise heard (we stayed here 3 times as we used KL as a hub, & heard aircraft noise one night, not the other two??)
No free shuttle bus to/from the LCCT (Air asia terminal).
Overall 6 out of 10!

Stayed here for one night as a stop over- found the hotel to be very poor in many respects- very noisy too near airport and no double glazing, poor staff ,rooms very basic- nuff said!!!
Great Stopover Hotel
from Pleso
Concorde Inn is a good stopover hotel. It is great value for money, efficiently run and has a wide range of services such as internet, dining, gym, pool, etc. It also provides a very handy shuttle to and from the airport on a half-hourly basis (NB the shuttle does not run all night, so make other arrangements if your flight is very late/early).
The buffet had an abundant array of tasty Western, Malay and Indian cuisine. My room was clean and comfortable. Most rooms could be easily accessed by the elderly or disabled. The only complaint I have is that I was awoken around 3am by the noise other guests made as they prepared to leave.
Overall, I recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again myself.

Looks a bit like a barracks- but its OK really
from Tastydogs
This is a very good value fairly basic airport hotel at Kuala Lumpur. To get there go to the ground floor of the airport terminal & wait for the mini bus every 30 minutes or so. There are usually a couple of hotel reps waiting there- but don’t be fooled- whilst they don’t appear to have anything to do other than tell you when the next bus is, on 2 of the 3 occasions I used it they got the info wrong (ie saying the bus has just gone- when its not!)
The hotel is large with all rooms in ground floor ‘chalets’ giving an over riding visual look of an army barracks. The rooms themselves are fine with quiet aircon , but they are variable in quality of finish. There is a good pool . The restaurant.is large & impersonal & looks a bit like a holiday camp but the staff are very cheerful & efficent. The a la carte menu is ok (the fruit juices are good) but the buffets (both dinner & breakfast) were a bit less attractive- I would say they are geared at Asians rather than Europeans.
Yes I would stay here for an overnighter again on transit but it works less well if you are going to go into KL city itself & for that I would choose a hotel near the Express terminal in the city.

Worst accommodation experience in 31 years of international travel
from Bernie-6
I didn't realise that my bed had been booked so near to the runways with planes taking off every 3 minutes, and the rest of them queueing up and revving up behind waiting their turn ... neither had I realised that the appropriately-named "No. 7 Terminal" (my wing of the hotel) seemed to be used as a transit wing for all the aircrew and consequently a bedroom door was being banged every 3 minutes throughout the night to coincide with the whole Malaysian Airlines fleet taking off in quick succession outside. Definitely my worst accommodation experience in 31 years of international travel. I transferred to another hotel in KL city thus forfeiting 4 nights accommodation costs. My laundry was also lost due to my early departure. The description "Superior Room" was also an understatement though the food and service at the cafe was excellent.
One night (too many) stay
from John_at_large
Stayed here over night en-route to Sydney. Decided that I didn’t want to pay for a 5 star hotel at the airport or travel into town. It was a mistake.
Once you check-in, you have to go back outside to actually get to your room. There’s a certain Butlin’s holiday camp feel to the place – and it’s fairly run down.
The room wasn't obviously dirty, but didn't feel that clean either. This wasn't helped by the feeling of stuffiness on first entering the room. Had to get a light changed that was continuously flickering. The air conditioning functioned okay, but was noisy.
Breakfast buffet was of very poor quality although there was a reasonable “variety”.
Overall I suppose you (usually) get what you pay for. This hotel is cheap, but so is everything else associated with it – was very happy to leave it behind. Either stump up the cash for the 5 star hotel at the airport or head into town.
