Taxis There are plenty of cabs at Sandakan airport. You need to get a ticket at the booth to go anywhere. You give this to the taxi driver. Found the same set up at KK and KL airports.

Selingan Overnight Trips When staying at the Selingan Island for a night, I recommend you to bring flashlight, mossy repel, sandal, sunblock cream and lotion soap. Sometimes the water there a bit saline so the ordinary soap won't foam. Mosquitoes aplenty during the night so put the mossy repellent as soon as it gets dark. Keep the flashlight handy for the walk from the chalet to the restaurant and for the turtle call. Sandal very useful to walk during the night as you may injure yourself if you walk barefoot. Try to wake up at 5.45 in the morning and walk along the beach just next to the chalet. You might find a turtle or two heading their way back to the sea.
