Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion (Blue Mansion) Restored (to UNESO standards) house built in 1880 by a Chinese Mandarin. Tours at 11am and 3pm. We did a tour and the guide was delightful. There isn't as much to see in the house as the Pinang Perakan house but very informative and entertaining tour about the history of the owner, Feng Shui, Chinese culture etc - would highly recommend to non-locals interested in Asian culture. Was good fun too (assuming you get the same guide we did)!

Getting around Penang Taxis here do not run on a meter; negotiate ahead of time. I advise against taking public transportation.

Food to Go Apart from breakfast, don't eat at your hotel.Street hawkers are a must.If you want to go more up market, try the Da Ban Steamboat Restaurant and Passage thru India, which, suprise surprise, is situated in Little India
