Overall Experience
from vinvinThe outlook of the building looks a bit old and I guess it should not be painted in organe or yellow as the colors make the while building looks old.
The lobby is nice and big. I managed to check in within 3 mins and I got those traditional key and not card key. Maybe they should upgrade to card key which is better.
We got a non smoking room as I requested. Now, non smoking rooms are on higher floors than those smoking room. Level 7, 8 & 9 are non smoking and 10 and above are executive & club rooms. I got the 9 floor and had a good view of the Twin Tower.
Our room was good and big enough. The toliet was up to standard.
The breakfast was good enough and we always had second helping every morning.
Room service was good and they cleaned up the room fats and neat.
Overall it is a good hotel & good location. I dun think it is as bad as what others said.
Go and try it =)
Perfect if you want a clean comfy room in a hotel with large lobby.
from wnia3445Overall, I was happy with the hotel room although I didnt think it was posh or stylish, it was very clean and comfortable. The major drawback is the distance from Golden Triangle and the night-life around that area. Also, it is in an awkward price range - in KL, you could pay AU$80/night (AU$20 more) and stay in a hotel that is far better decorated and located smack bang in the middle of Golden Triangle. However, AU$20 could also feed a hungry person on a very balanced hawker diet for the whole day!!
Shabby, basic rooms
from GrayBoargood location , good room , a good choice
from AshDelhiall said & done the hotel has some positives .
1) Near KL tower .
2) Rooms are decent size , with tea coffee maker , , minibar . etc
3) Price of 200 Malaysian ( 90 Sing $) was not bad .
Negatives :
when some one uses flush in next door room you can hear it clear & loud in your room , -- disaster if it happens in middle of night -- hotel guys cant understand the problem / cant do anything about it even when reported. -- in 2 night stay first night was bad because of noise from flush , second night the guy did not go to toilet after 22.00 hrs & we woke him up at 0600 by going to toilet before him .
Breakfast spread is quite lavish , but with more to native soups , steam buns , noodle etc ,
if the hotel gets a fix on the toilet noise , we would not mind coming back to the hotel aain when in KL.
What a dump!
from ZanibarExpected better...

from kiraywmThe bad: Hmm none really, except for the restaurant in the lobby had slow service and kept saying they were booked out when clearly it was 90% empty. Go to Mings Court on level 1 instead! great service, fantastic food. But breakfast in the lobby is better.
Very good !
from mazedCorus Hotel Sucks!
from KazikhalidmahmoodSwimming Pool: it’s like a wasted pond.
Service: They do not know the 'S' of Service -
First, they sell most of their rooms to the travel agents; hence you will never get rooms directly.
Second, You can only book for 2 adults and 1 child per room and if you have 2 children, sorry you have to pay extra.
Third, Although you can book for 2 adult + 1 child, but they will only give you 2 breakfast coupons per room, so you pay extra for even the 1st child.
Fourth, i booked on line and called the hotel for the extra person, the person in charge confirmed that no extra charge as part of the same family, but hey, as you check in its a different ball game. Nobody knows the other.
Fifth, the breakfast restaurant is unfriendly and the food choice is primitive and seems not fresh.
Sixth, we booked for two suites with balcony. They have only one suite per floor like that. At the time of booking they confirmed two suites with balcony on different floors. But surprised to find out that they used their judgement to change one suite to a non-balcony congested suite on the same floor as we are from the same family. Audacity!!
Seventh, very rigid and no flexibility.
Eighth, they don even know how to say sorry!
Ninth, TV doesn work.
Great location .
from ells32The room was in need of a refurb but the bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom was spotless .
No complaints from me , would definately return .
Top Local Tips for Kuala Lumpur
getting around it is nice to know the idea of HOP IN, HOP OFF bus that goes around the major touristy areas in and out of KL. The concept is you wait in a designated waiting area and once the bus arrives you hop on with a guide brochure, more or less you will have an idea where it will next stop and if you decided to go down there and look around, just hop off. busses arrives 30mins-1hr intervals depends on the traffic i think. So to go to your next destination just wait for the next bus. a day trip will cost you 35 ringgit and its unlimited ride from 8am-9pm last trip. enjoy your journey.
Taxis Remember to ask for meter or if not or can't, bargain for better rate!
Public tranportation: Kuala lumpur From the airport : i recommend to take taxi, because the price worthed, esp if u travell in 3-4 persons. It can bring you direct to your destination. You can also take a bus (skybus or aerobus) WITH ONLY 9 rm/PERSON. bus will take you to KL SENTRAL from which you can take LRT (METRO SUBWAY), buses, or taxi (buy a coupon first at taxi counter, near skybus stop at kl sentral station). Getting around :taxis in kuala lumpur dont use meter mostly, you can make a deal with driver FIRST, before you enter the taxi. Public transportation inner the city is uneffective, there are 2 LRT track (owned by different company) and 1 monorail. They dont cover the city, so sometimes you have to walk a lot to go to nearest LRT station. You can also take a bus from the bus shuttle. KL sentarl station is the center of every public transportation in kuala lumpur. The ticket machine of LRT sometimes dont work well, if you lose money on it, just report it to the ticket counter, they will give you the ticket.
