Top Local Tips for Urayasu
Tokyo Disney Go there the first week of July (weather permitting). This is prior to the Japanese holidays, and there are no lines at the attractions. We only waited 30 minutes once (a technical issue). The rest of the rides were 15 minutes or less, most were 5 minutes. You could never go to Space Mountain 4 to 6 times ina day and see anything else. We did that and a lot more. Disney Sea is also nice, and the lines were short.
For those who can read Japanese As I mentioned, if you can read Japanese you'll save money if you book through the Japanese website. I compared it to the English one and other travel websites (Expedia, Orbitz, etc) and it is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper, regardless of the exchange rate.
The Disney Parks The parks were delightful, as was the staff in each park. Japan is a rainy place and that means that outdoor rides can get shut down: plan accordingly when setting out for the day. A couple of things we noticed:The DisneySea Park has less "rides" than DisneyLand. To us, it felt similar to Disney's California Adventure. It is still a fun park and has good things to offer. They offer a "single rider" option on 3 of the rides at DisneySea (this option is not available in DisneyLand) and we highly recommend this option if you don't mind riding w/ a stranger. This decreased the wait time on Raging Spirits for us from 30 minutes to less than 5 minutes. You cannot get a pass to go to both parks in the same day; you must pay for each park separately. We did the After 6 pass to DisneyLand on our first night, the regular pass to DisneySea on the second day and went back to DisneyLand on the After 6 pass the second day. Though this cost about 4 Yen more, it suited our agenda better.
