Bhuana Alit is a wonderful place for a longer term stay. Boutique hotel at modest prices. Friendly staff. Close enough to the tourist bustle while maintaining a quiet, serene atmosphere.
Highly recommended.

The villa is a great deal, air con, wireless, fridge in room, daily coffee and tea provided, friendly staff, gorgeous grounds, fab pool...and more...yes it's a bike ride (motor or peddle) away from main Ubud, but still Flava up the road and local warung on the driveway into villa. Tons of family, kids, cats and dogs, local colour, beauty and an orchestra of frogs and crickets to serenade you to sleep...it's like a country visit! Ask for Guli! Would stay again in a heartbeat if I didn't want the traffic and noise of the main streets of Ubud proper, but still close enuf to main stuff...just need a bike or lots of love of a good walk in the heat.

Terrible place!! Very Dirty area and too far from town. No privacy and not hot water for one day! I will not go back.

This place is my own home away from home....I stay there for 4-6 months at a time and in 2007 will be my third year going there. The staff is wonderful and the owner and his family are just great! I highly advise staying as long as you can!
