cookery courses The Balinese cuisine is really amazing... very healthy & full of fresh coconut, lemongrass, ginger & lime. They offer cookery courses at some of the hotels & take you to early morning markets which are fantastic. There is a massive fish market in Nusa Dua. I can not find the name of the school I went to but it has 2 restaurants & a hotel!! but the Nusa Dua Hotel & Resort offer a cookery course & next time I will take there's & stay at that hotel which is fabulous! amazing facilities & spa & restaurants onsite.Don't miss out on Ubud, the heartbeat of the island, the atmosphere is fantastic & all the local culture surrounds you!! great shopping & the best japanese restaurant called Ryoshi...like Nobu but so cheap you will not wait for the bill to arrive!! enjoy the friendliest people ever!!

Going to Lovina when its peaceful From our experience going in March/April would be the ideal time as there are very few folk about. The thing to remember is that even although its rainier than the rest of the year the average temperature is higher.

Rent a scooter!! Takes some doing to get used to driving in Bali but is a great way to get around. And uses less gas than a car.
