They operate in alleyways and will give you a wad of 50,000 rupiah notes or even smaller denomination. If one is not careful and get rushed by the moneychanger, it is very easy to be cheated because there are so many notes to count and one gets distracted by the string of zeroes on the notes! Insist on counting every single note or accept a more realistic exchange rate from authorised moneychangers!
