Ku de ta Ku de Ta is an amazing restaurant/bar/lounge right at the beach. Great selection of food and drinks and amazing setting. The only downside is the price - a little above the average...
drinking water most people know this - but just in case - don't drink the tap water at any hotel in bali. Use bottled water to brush your teeth. Also - keep a small 'wet wipes' with you and some kleenex. Some bathrooms don't have toilet paper.

Best things: breakfast buffet, takes US dollars or Credit Cards, free shuttle to Kuta (one-way) must take a taxi back but it is really cheap, you can eat at the cafe 24 hours, awesome sunsets, excellent staff
Worst things: Can't swim in ocean, Gets alot of debris and driftwood, can get hot (but you have an Air Conditioner), Small TV with only two english stations. Not the place to stay at if you want to be in a town or city.
Really a good get away, it is like you are at an exclusive private resort, it is in a small village at the end of a long street, with no other hotels or stores around. Some locals may try to sell you stuff on the beach but go to the beach at sunset and no one will bother you because everyone is watching an amazing sunset every day.
If you are rich and like high class hotels, don't go here. But if you are on a budget and want to feel like you are rich this is the place for a relaxing vacation where the staff makes you feel like a king. And if you want to go see everything there is always the free shuttle or pay for a guided tour.
