Stayed in hotel Panorama, Batam, very recently. We selected this hotel based on the really appraising reviews of others who had been there.
To be honest, I was disapppointed with the hotel though there were positive moments as well.
What was good
- friendly and helpful personnel
- great breakfast
- gym ok
What was not so good
- stuffy room (a smoking room, though we reserved a non-smoking)
- overly used towels
- pool in awful condition (there was some refurbishing going on and the path around the pool was partly covered by piles of bricks and pipes)
- massage parlour ok, however did not get the massage I wanted since the person doing it was absent
- restaurants were closed most of the day (had to settle for a cafe)
All in all, the surroundings were a slight surprise, very poor and dirty, partly demolished houses, beggars etc.
