A beautiful hotel with amazing staff who make the welcome very special. Each villa is very spacious and some include sunken baths. Eating at the hotel can get quite expensive but there are plenty of fabulous local options no more than a 10 minute walk away.

Top Local Tips for Bali

Seminyak shopping Avoid most of the nicely presented shops on Seminyak high-street, the discounts aren't really there and most are run by expat aussies and american's looking to make money out of tourists. Instead get a taxi (or hire a car) and head out towards some of the locally run jewelery work shops further inland where you'll get a better deal.

Day trip to Ubud Take a cab or hire a car to Ubud and walk around. Stop by the hidden temple and play with the monkeys that guard it. Walk around the charming town of Ubud, have lunch, and enjoy the shopping and hospitality that is Bali.

Ku de ta Go to Ku de ta for breakfast! Their breakfast menu is excellent and cheap - the smoothies are fantastic!!
