Daughter married on 10th April at Grand Mirage - we stayed for 10 days (16 people in total)Food brilliant,service top drawer and the staff and people of Bali - their friendliness quite humbling.Any couple wishing to be married somewhere stunning - Bali is the place.

I have just come back from a stay at the Gran Hotel Bali Benidrom. It's a very nice hotel, very clean and helpful staff(little spoke English) great for families, but about 4 miles away from Benidorm Center!!

Great holiday

My wife and myself went to the Grand Mirage 9/10/07 for 2weeks,long flight, lovley hotel. Food was good in the Jukung and the Italian nights were a bit to dead. There was music but after about 4 day of it, you had heard the same songs about 20 times. There is a barman called gunn in the Panorama Lounge. Very nice. Ask him to show you some tricks. The sand is not coral sand but volcanic and its very hot to stand on so wear some shoes. I hand burn feet for about 2 days that how hot it was,go on the small sail kat trip to the island good day out,went scoba diving for the first time cost about 50$ for about 45 mins.hope this helps.ps take some pepsid bismol.

We went for our honeymoon this April.We booked Romantic Ocean View room.The room had an excellent view of the Indian Ocean.It was a great experience in every respect- food,ambience, cleanliness, service , location.. everthing..The beach area was very beutiful and well maintained.The hotel organised a theme evening every time.The staff was very courteous. We would like to go back to grand mirage only when we go back to Bali. Grand Mirage made our honeymoon really memorable.

Great Vacation

Just coming back from a 16 days vacation to Bali and the Grand Mirage. This was our 12th time to Bali and the first time in the Grand Mirage on the beach of Nusa Dua in Tanjung Benoa. In the past we did stay in 4 to 5 star resorts in Sanur , Kuta , Ubud and Nusa Dua , but this was our first experience in the Tanjung Benoa. From all the hotels we stayed in the past we must say the Grand Mirage has been till now the best. It has everything you need , it is not to big and not to small . This hotel has a soul , easy to meet other people , a hotel of short ways , very friendly employees . The pool and beach area seems to be the biggest one , clean , a lot of long chairs and umbrella and the landscaping around the pool is done very good . The rooms are big , clean and when you book a room with oceanview you can seat on your private balcony and do nothing else than relaxe and have a great holiday . Food and beverages within the hotel are very good , large breakfast buffet with everything you need , every night different entertainment , from fashion shows to balinese cultural shows and life bands. Somehow the hotel has something other hotels just don t have . We think it is the size of the hotel and maybe the location. We are already planning our next vacation for 2007 and I am sure the Grand Mirage will be the first hotel in Bali where we will stay twice . We only can recommend this hotel to all people who are looking for a relaxing vacation and don t like to get bored .

Father (me) and son (25) spent their holidays first time on Bali from end of July to mid of August, 2005. We had different interests. Son prefered snorkling and surfing, father preferes culture, religion an nature. But both enjoied the ambiente of "Grand Mirage Hotel", the friendly room service, daily changing breakfast assortment, entertainmant at the "Panorama Lounge" every evening.

We did have a very enjoyable stay the the Grand Mirage. Although the room is kind of not new, it's tastefully and ocean view done up for it. A lovelt relaxing resort indeed with good evening live entertainment and nice cultural shows. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. Thank you for a great vacation.

Wonderful Honeymoon

For months, my fiance ( during this time still fiance ) and I were looking through many brochures , websites and books for places to have our destination honeymoon. After debating between too many locations we selected Bali for our HM destination. Again we looked at many Hotels available in Bali and selected the Grand Mirage. I am sure we could have found no better Hotel at the package offered . Everything and I mean everything was perfect, from the arrival at the airport to the accommodation at the Grand Mirage. The receptionist at the front office greeted us with a very friendly welcome, the food and honeymoon dinner on the beach was something to write home about, our romantic room clean and big and Bali it self is very nice. We are planning already our next holiday to other areas of Asia, but we are also sure we will return to Grand Mirage again.

Great honeymoon

We just come back from a 16 day's honeymoon vacation to Bali. We did stay for 3 nights in a small Villa in Ubud and 12 nights in the 5 star beach resort called Grand Mirage. Ubud we must say was a very interesting place and for 3 nights very Romantic. Good shopping and some good restaurants are available in Ubud. After this we did select the Grand Mirage a Hotel located direct on a very large and clean beach of Nusa Dua in Tanjung Benoa. We did reserve a Romantic Ocean View Room and we are happe we did get our room as requested. From the room you will have a wonderful view over the ocean and if you can get up early you will experience a great sunrise. We did have 2 times our breakfast on the balcony and looking at the sunrise. What a great way to start the day. The resort itself is just perfect for Honeymooner like us, it is not to big and not to small, you can get easy in contact with other guest. We have talk with many guest who have been in this Resort already many times mainly people from Australia, HK, Singapore and Germany. Let me tell u some strong points and weak points of this hotel. First the strong points. Veary clean, good rooms very friendly employees, good beach, pool and garden, very good value for money, good food and close to all the area like outside restaurants and shopping, great spa and massage area
Weak points are not many, maybe the rooms look a bit old , the second weak point is maybe if you don t like watersports, because in the front of the hotel you will find all kind of watersport. Over all we only can recommend this hotels to honeymooner and couples, we are sure you will like it a lot.

Super Resort

As always we did plan our holiday well in advance and we looked at many Hotels in Bali as well as the area where we should stay . We selected the Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Spa and we must say it was a super Holiday with a super Hotel. The location of Grand Mirage is a little outside of the Nusa Dua Camp area but still on the Beach of Nusa Dua . The beach is big , clean and nice , The hotel it self is the best what you can get for your Money . We spend for Room and Breakfast about U$ 75.00 per night staying in a deluxe room overlooking the Ocean. The rooms are big and clean and have everything you need to have in a 5 star room. Breakfast was served in the Coffee Shop about 100 meters away from the Ocean . After the second day the service employees greeted us with our name and nearly every day we recieved the same table overlooking the beach and pool area . Perfect moment to start the day . All other facilities of the Grand Mirage are up to our expectation , and the friendly employees have been far above , allways willing to help . When in Bali make sure you get out of the Resort and make some tours , most we would recommend Ubud .
Bali and Grand Mirage was a super super Holiday for us .

Top Local Tips for Bali

Nusa Dua - place to visist Nusa Dua is not so noisy as Kuta but is not far away from its disco's and bars. It is worth visiting for a cosy and comfortable family stay. It is not a proper place for swimming althoughsome hotel beaches are very nice and clean. Not a bad staff for water sports

You are quite detached from the real Bali When going to Nusa Dua and in particular Tanjung Benoa keep in mind that you are holed away in just one little corner of Bali. Whenever you want to see "The Real Bali" you will have to calculate about 45-60 minutes travel time just to get past Denpasar. Best to book one of the many tours organised by the locals (request an early pick up) or hire a driver for the day. Please feel free to check out my other reviews on this topic.

Taxi Always haggle, always stay with the blue cabs, always go for a car with seatbelts in the back.
